To provide professional learning and support through professional learning communities, induction, coaching and leadership, and community partners to increase capacity of schools and district departments in order to achieve the district goals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of the skills and competencies required to be successful in the teaching profession and parent and community engagement. Ability to plan, organize, and implement events, trainings and programs. Must possess research skills to gather the latest information pertaining to Best Instructional Practices. Ability to respond to inquiries or concerns from teachers, employees, Florida Department of Education, or administrators. Interpret and enforce school board policies, administrative rules and the Orange County Schools Administrative Pool Process. Analyze data, communicate information, and formulate alternative solutions to problems. Ability to work and communicate effectively both orally and through written communication with people to focus resources (both human and financial) toward the achievement of district expected results.

∗ Support all functions and services in the Leadership Development Program consistent with district goals, and, with and through staff, develop plans and identify expected outcomes/results for each unit for which he/she is responsible.
∗ Supports all functions and services of the OCPS Administrative Pool Process.
∗ Analyzes district, state and federal regulations and procedures.
∗ Communicates closely with state and federal DOE and/other institutions regarding reports and/or district issues.
∗ Develops presentations designed to promote the teaching profession and to market the Professional Development Certification Program and the Administrative Pool Process.
∗ Develops and implement a training program and materials for the Leadership Development program.
∗ Develops and maintains statistical reports related to the district’s Leadership Development programs.
∗ Communicates with leadership development to ensure cohesive transition from the Aspiring Leadership program to gain entrance into the OCPS Administrative Pool Process.
∗ Reports critical issues related to the Professional Development Certification Program and National Board Teacher Certification Program to the Director of Professional Development Services. Provides technical assistance and support to teachers and Administrative Pool
Process.
∗ Provides current training and best practices for the aspiring leaders program., coaches and mentors.
∗ Follow the district’s policies and procedures as related to all HRMD guidelines and the district’s instructional initiatives.
* Follow the district’s policies and procedures as related to fixed assets.
* Develops leadership in subordinates.
* Responsible for keeping up to date on current technology being used by OCPS. With the support of the district, attends training to ensure skill level in various technologies is at the level required to perform in current position.
* Responsible for maintaining timely and accurate information and accountable for the quality of information maintained by those they supervise.
∗ Responsible for self-development and keeping up to date on current research, trends and best practices relevant to the area of responsibility.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Non-bargaining Unit Compensation Plan, twelve months, 8.0 hours per day.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of personnel.
