Under direct supervision, the purpose of the position is to provide staff support in an educational environment, with an emphasis on providing instructional support in the physical education classes. Employees in this classification are responsible for implementing the lesson plans of the physical education teacher. Employees work with several different large groups of children conducting lessons throughout the entire school day, customarily outdoors, and are held responsible for the safety and discipline of the students. Position transports items including, but not necessarily limited to, work site waste and debris, sand, dirt, clay, gravel, heavy equipment, concrete and asphalt, and construction materials.
