Work areas include, but are not necessarily limited to, fixtures, water and wastewater lines, lift stations and treatment plants, portable hook-ups, lavatory systems, and new construction. Position coordinates assigned project schedules in a manner to minimize disruption in school district activities. Performs related work as directed.

The purpose of the position is to facilitate communication between students who are Deaf Hard of Hearing (DHH) involved in the educational process through the use of sign language, oral interpreting, real time captioning, and/or other communication resources needed to accommodate DHH students who qualify to receive these services. The work involves varied work methods and problems which includes lead responsibilities for evaluation and processing of all documents for permitting. Work requires exercise of judgment based on related knowledge of departmental policy and applicable state statutes.
