Under general supervision, the purpose of this position is to perform school-based duties associated with entering data and providing clerical support to guidance personnel and administration. Employees in this classification perform routine clerical functions in the form of entering student data on the district software system, analyzing reports, maintaining student attendance/records, and serving as a backup for other front office personnel. Employees also perform special projects for administration. Performs related work as directed.
Under direct supervision, the purpose of the position is to provide staff support in an educational or childcare environment, performing paraprofessional work in assisting teachers and pre-kindergarten age students. Employees in this classification work with children individually or in small groups by providing basic instruction in abilities and skills developmentally appropriate to pre-school age children. Position is responsible for assisting teachers with transporting children to various scheduled activities, i.e., lunch, rest time, restrooms. Position provides support in the assigned functional program area by monitoring student behavior, conducting hearing screenings, generating and maintaining records and reports, providing instruction and assistance, and communicating with parents and staff. Incumbents work with students both individually and in-groups as directed by assigned supervisor. Employees in this class are responsible for monitoring, training, assigning, reviewing, planning and coordinating the work of crew leaders who are over custodial crews. Responsibility areas include, but are not necessarily limited to training of crew leaders and custodians, developing daily and weekly cleaning work schedules, routine inspecting of facilities and grounds for hazardous conditions, and maintaining adequate supply inventories. Position oversees and participates in all facets of work under charge. Performs related work as directed.
