Employees in this classification function with considerable independence and latitude in judgment concerning methods, materials, and priority, and provide lead worker direction to communications technician staff. Under general supervision, the purpose of the position is to perform district/school-based duties associated with providing technical assistance in the installation of hardware/software for electronic capture, storage, transmission, and reproduction of digital media. Employees in this classification function at an operational capacity and perform a variety of duties including troubleshooting, technical support, training functions, as well as system design and maintenance.
