Under general supervision, the purpose of the position is to perform custodial tasks for an assigned school of the district. Employees in this class are responsible for accomplishing a daily routine of custodial tasks that provide school personnel, students, and the public with an environmentally safe, attractive, comfortable, clean, and efficient place in which to work and conduct school activities. Performs related work as directed.

Under direction, the purpose of the position is to facilitate development of a quality assurance program, perform compliance inspections, and monitor corrective action plans that meet or exceed school food services standards. Employees in this classification are responsible for performing periodic inspections during and at completion of work conducted by School Food Services employees. Position uses analytical skills to analyze trends in failures and successes. Position ensures compliance of all work with applicable school district food service policies, Department of Health Regulation, and other industry standards. Performs related work as directed. Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s license and transportation for frequent/daily site visits.

Under direction, the purpose of the position is to develop and implement a program aimed at securing and maintaining employment for at risk students of the school district. Employees in this classification are responsible for working directly with students in helping them to modify and control behaviors in the classroom, with the objective focused on employability training. Incumbents may be assigned to the functional area of employment transition, whereby work includes accompanying students to business/employment sites, overseeing work training, and providing assistance in acquiring job skills. Under direction, the position functions as lead educational interpreter and resource coordinator for Deaf Hard of Hearing (DHH) students enrolled in the district’s exceptional education program or may be assigned to a school performing highly skilled classroom interpreting. Position facilitates communication between students who are deaf and/or hard of hearing involved in the educational process through the use of sign language, oral interpreting, and/or other communication resources needed to accommodate DHH students who qualify to receive these services. The purpose of the position is to provide staff support for students with disabilities under the direction of one or more Exceptional Student Education teachers or supervisor. May also be in an assigned ESE School Program in one or more general education classes. Position provides support in the assigned functional program area by monitoring student behavior, conducting hearing screenings, generating, and maintaining records and reports, providing instruction and assistance, and communicating with parents and staff.
