Under direction, the purpose of the position is to daily operate an assigned school bus on an assigned transportation route for the school district. Employees in this classification are responsible for the safe transportation, loading and unloading of students to and from destinations, and ensure all bus activities support the safety and welfare of all persons. Work is performed in conjunction with bus monitoring personnel, and includes ensuring appropriate securing of students and the provision of required assistance to students with special medical needs. Performs related work as directed.
Under direction, the purpose of the position is to facilitate development of a quality assurance program, perform compliance inspections, and monitor corrective action plans that meet or exceed school food services standards. Employees in this classification are responsible for performing periodic inspections during and at completion of work conducted by School Food Services employees. Position uses analytical skills to analyze trends in failures and successes. Position ensures compliance of all work with applicable school district food service policies, Department of Health Regulation, and other industry standards. Performs related work as directed. Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s license and transportation for frequent/daily site visits.
Under direct supervision, the purpose of this position is to perform duties associated with the day to day operations of the office. Work locations are school based and district based. Employees in this classification function in a clerical capacity working with more complex databases, spreadsheets, FTE and student scheduling, and other office functions. Performs related work as directed.
Under direction, the purpose of the position is to perform semi-skilled to skilled automotive refinishing work in the repair and refurbishment of district owned fleet vehicles and equipment. Employees in this classification function with considerable independence and latitude concerning methods, materials, and priority of assigned work orders. Work areas include, but are not necessarily limited to, glass and fixture replacement, frame repair, and paint and body restoration. Work objectives are to extend the service life and maintain physical integrity of district automotive vehicles and equipment. Performs related work as directed.
Under general supervision, the purpose of the position is to perform semi-skilled work in the maintenance and repair of automotive vehicles and other similarly related mechanical equipment. Employees in this classification function as assistant to fleet mechanic personnel in the servicing of district vehicles. Position performs routine service duties such as fueling buses, checking oil levels, changing belts and inspecting vehicle conditions for road worthiness. Performs related work as directed.
Under administrative direction, the purpose of the position is to perform administrative and lead duties to maximize automotive vehicle, school bus and automotive equipment operation through efficient repair and maintenance practices to extend the service life of each item. Employees in this classification perform advanced skilled mechanical services and repair work for both diesel and gasoline powered vehicles and equipment. Additionally, employees in this classification are responsible for scheduling and assigning work to co-workers and inspecting tasks upon completion for adherence to technical specifications and principles of safe vehicle operation. Perform related work as directed.
This position is responsible for effectively taking facility management work requests, transportation field trip requests and other information over the phone, fax, computer, etc. and passing the needed information to the proper personnel for timely action. The position is the initial contact for work and field trip requests and serves as the liaison for the status of requests and problem resolution. This position is extremely important in providing the communication link between the customer and the service provider.
Under direction, the purpose of the position is to maximize automotive vehicle, school bus, and automotive equipment operation through efficient repair and maintenance practices to extend the service life of each item. Employees in this classification perform basic to intermediate level mechanical service and repair work for both diesel and gasoline powered automotive vehicles and equipment, and are responsible for inspecting tasks upon completion for adherence to technical specifications and principles of safe vehicle operation. Emphasis of the work is on diagnosing and analyzing vehicle problems and preventive maintenance; incumbents exercise judgment in referring major and/or complex service requirements to the shop garage. Performs related work as directed.
