Under direct supervision, the purpose of the position is to perform school-based duties associated with front office secretarial functions and provide administrative support to the principal. Employees in this classification function at an experienced secretarial level. Prepare correspondence, answer the phone, schedule appointments and workshops, deal with incidents of varying nature and degree related to the school operations. Employees also serve as backup to other clerical positions in the front office. Duties may include processing financial and personnel related information. Under direction, the purpose of the position is to perform semi-skilled to skilled automotive refinishing work in the repair and refurbishment of district owned fleet vehicles and equipment. Employees in this classification function with considerable independence and latitude concerning methods, materials, and priority of assigned work orders. Work areas include, but are not necessarily limited to, glass and fixture replacement, frame repair, and paint and body restoration. Under direction, the purpose of the position is to daily operate an assigned school bus on an assigned transportation route for the school district. Employees in this classification are responsible for the safe transportation, loading and unloading of students to and from destinations, and ensure all bus activities support the safety and welfare of all persons. Work is performed in conjunction with bus monitoring personnel, and includes ensuring appropriate securing of students and the provision of required assistance to students with special medical needs.
